Most people are not aware that there is a big difference between a word (= part of general vocabulary) and a term (= part of the so called special language, or terminology).
One such example is the use of the words "liberty" and "freedom". It is interesting to note that the Statue of Liberty obviously does not represent the concept of freedom (= I can take my dad's Ferrari whenever I want to), but that of liberty (= I can take my dad's Ferrari only if he allows me to take it). Therefore, technically speaking, no Homo Sapiens is actually free, but only "at liberty" to do such and such things, of course until he abides by the law. If he doesn't, he ends up in "custody". There was a commercial for a telecommunications company from my country whose slogan was Free like a bird. Yes, bird (= animal).
It's interesting how the terms can (in turn) become a part of everyday talk. For example, reflect on the use of some words which are mostly used or known in the field of economy, e. g. company, stock, partner. Now compare their usage in collocations such as "he's bad company", "she's a good stock", "he's my partner (= husband)". Think also about the expression "money flows like water" and the terms "liquid assets", "bank" (cf. river banks), "currency" (cf. flow of the river's current). Maybe money doesn't "flow like water", but actually is water after all ...
Also, try putting an s before the word "word", and it will become sword - and words really are like swords, they can cut right through you.
"There is no justice - there is just us" (Dick Gregory)

Ahhhh, yes. I've posted it before, but Saul Williams song DNA is relevant to this. As is this video

i've been trying to remember to say this 'i'm feeling angry' rather than 'i am angry' because words have power (frequencies)
cheers

Interesting connection with banks and water... I suppose that explains why all the courts in the world exercise maritime law instead of common law. Heck, even your car is considered a vessel on the high seas, which is why it can be confiscated under piracy laws.
Do you realize that the Statue of Liberty is among friends...
The Great Transamerica Pyramid of San Francisco
The Hanging Botanical Gardens of Brooklyn, New York
The Statue of Lincoln at the Lincoln Memorial
The Temple of Masonry at Washington, DC
The Arlington National Mausoleum
The Colossus of Liberty Island
The World Trade Lighthouse of New York (now destroyed)
And with regards to words and terms, remember, "Time flies like the wind, but fruit flies like bananas."

It's totally why they practice maritime law, it all has to do with trade and making moo-lah

Very interesting guys and girls
Its interesting how neuro-linguistics also play a big role here. Using language to see connections like this is amazing, but what is also amazing is how we use words without thinking about how we use them - yet how our interpretation and understanding of words we use everyday actually shape our minds, our paradigms, and our behaviours.
You know, stuff like love. What it really means. (Not one extreme of unconditional selflessness nor the other extreme of feel-good sensationalism, but a heart-based rapport of true honoring of each other, total compassion and vulnerability with each other, and total wisdom - which has nothing to do with pleasant or unpleasant emotions. It creates a heart-to-heart intimacy that is valid in any kind of relationship, whether family, friendship, or romantic. No fluff, just real substance.)
Stuff like science and being scientific - what it really means. (Not just another belief-system but a way of being, thinking, and a fearless curiosity yet humbleness about the unknown, or even challenging the "known".)
Stuff like spirituality, and what it really means.
etc.

Oh the synchronicity's right now ... wow; one of my dearest friends recommended that i listen to Conversations with God.
Prior to this recommendation I shared with him some music videos. which tie into my previous post. Here's the videos, I highly recommend them; I feel like I've arrived to a place in time that I've been anticipating for a a very very very long time.

When I saw these music videos for the first time earlier today around noon Eastern Standard Time ... I almost gleefully went for my journal and mechanical pencil ... and then it started flowing; it got a little rocky around the edges but I wrote two pages of lyrical content/ideas.
So right now, I feel like ... "wow, my whole life I told myself I could do it, I believed in myself despite the logical part of me having some doubts. I knew that I shouldn't worry about the time, and worry about the fact that it hadn't happened yet (as each year passed by). I inantely knew that the when I was ready the time would come and I would know it because it would all just flow out and fall into place.
Wow ... Ok so I'm gonna go back to Conversations w/God ... i'm actually going to take notes.
