Changing culture through Sensitivity Training

What do you guys think about sensitivity training techniques and its use in preparing (read brainwashing here) people for a world government? It would be interesting to understand the psychology behind it, both good and bad, and how we might make people aware of bad forms of "applied psychology on masses" being used (like in the education systems) and how proper use of the techniques like group therapy must be distinguished from the manipulative uses.

I find it interesting how there's always such focus on polar opposites for an "us vs them" effect in these kind of articles. Yet discussion of things like this proves valuable in transcending control and using the knowledge of what principles the control is based on as stepping stones to proper use of the knowledge that actually helps people.
