Starways

PortalRoman history tells us of teachers, those of antiquity who instructed them in the building of roads—simply arranging stones, sand and gravel to make travel between their cities much faster and easier. But this was not a unique idea, for those of antiquity were also road-builders... but on a much larger scale.

Starways, as they were called in the days of old by the Ancients, are a type of natural Stargate, as the term is used by the science fiction film, Stargate, and the resulting popular series, Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis.

But unlike their science fiction counterparts, Starways do not require a physical structure, such as an ring-like gateway, nor a dialing device. These Starways are natural, harmonic connections that occur between Logoi (a type of cosmic intelligence), which we know as the planets, stellar neighborhoods (systems), constellations, galaxies, galactic clusters, supergalaxies and beyond. Consider them a type of three-dimensional version of the Earths ley lines.

The endpoints of the Starways were special, sacred places, for the nodal points were always at fixed positions on the planet, and could only be used at specific times. The Earth runs a regular transit schedule, for during certain times of the year, the Earth's orbit would also traverse the ley lines of the solar logos, a more intricate structure than the ley lines of Earth, but when timed right—could be used to move people and objects between the planets.

Navigation on larger scales was a matter of calculating the natural crossings and nexi of the Starways, and taking the desired paths as an act of consciousness. Because Starway navigation required a degree of consciousness, inanimate structures, and the lower forms of life were not able to pass by themselves between the worlds and stars, as they could not make the jump, nor navigate the crossroads. They could, however, be transported by a conscious being without difficulty.

The Starway system is still active on this world and in this solar system. Unfortunately, the instruction manual seems to have been misplaced!
